The World Cannot Give by Tara Isabella Burton

5.0

According to my 2022 reading list, this is at least my *second* dark academia book of the year and, apparently, this genre is absolutely my jam. There's just something about annoyingly pretentious teenagers, religious crises, borderline cults, and boarding schools that work for me, IDK.

Anyway, in all seriousness, I really did love The World Cannot Give and the experience I had reading it. It's the perfect length, rich with characters, and checks all of the boxes for what I want in a darker feeling read. I'm going to have nightmares featuring Virginia Strauss, so thanks!!!
