I really enjoyed the first book so I was so hopeful for this one!
The plot didn't advance much, and when it was progressing, it was hard to follow. The flashbacks were confusing and the alternate POV wasn't used enough to be effective, I often forgot that I was reading from another perspective.
The chemistry between Adrian and Isolde is gone, all they do is argue and sleep together.Isolde becoming a shifter feels unplanned The whole thing in general just felt different, the vibe is off.
That being said, I do look forward to the next book, I am hopeful for Isolde and Adrian and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they can reignite their spark and at least have somewhat of a happy ending.
