"Toothwort is alone. He's tiny, the pulse of a robin redbreast, not even that, the empty air where a robin was earlier in the day, the atom-memory of the pulse, smaller than light."

This was a book that I (semi surprisingly) actually really liked. Such an odd read. But so gosh darn charming! A poetic-fairytale-magical realism story written in a refreshingly unique style but at its core is a tale about the indefatigable bond between mother and son? I mean, come on.

Love you mom.
