The Exorcist's House by Nick Roberts
A psychologist, his pregnant wife, and their teenage daughter move into a farm in the hopes of renovating and flipping out. They shortly find out that the house used to belong to an exorcist and its unwanted guests don't want to remain dormant.
This totally and completely sucked me in. I found myself go from Chapter 4 to Chapter 18 in a blink of an eye. The author was descriptive and parts of the book are terrifying, if you can be scared. The ending was also on point. It makes me want to grab up the second book to see if we get answers to the questions it provoked.
What I didn't like so much is that the reviews did state this book was terrifying... it just didn't terrify me. I didn't feel myself get genuinely scared in the slightest. I totally would have enjoyed it more if I did though.
