Heartstopper Volume 4 by Alice Oseman

2.0

Heartstopper Volume 4 by Alice Oseman was, I'm not going to lie a letdown, but I think I was expecting more from this Young Adult, Graphic Novel then is fair.

Charlies and Nicks interactions felt forced, but maybe it was just the young love that I'm out of touch with. The connection they had with their family felt real but only on the surface.

I loved the topic of Charlies eating disorder because there really are almost no discussions with men having eating disorder especially anorexia and am hoping this is the door being open to the topic since Heartstoppers is such a popular series. I didn't like how the subject was there, but the discussion was minuscule. Overall, this book fits well in to the Heartstopper series.

Can we talk about the art! It is absolutely my favorite thing in this series. So simple with a questionably specific color palette and yet it's gorgeous!
