Of all the Fool's Gold books, this is one that I've really book looking forward to. For whatever reason, Montana was just one of those characters that I really enjoyed in previous books, so I was excited to see her story.

Even though I really enjoyed this book overall, I felt kind of let down. It's hard to explain because I actually really liked the characters. I was already sold on Montana from previous books, and I wound up liking Simon quite a lot. He had a very interesting history that played a very relevant role in his life. Also, the therapy dogs were very cute, so I really liked a lot of things about the books, but it just felt like there was something lacking.

This book also felt so much longer than many of others even though I know it's really wasn't. It just felt more drawn out without any real tension. It's very hard to explain, though, because even though I did feel let down, I also wound up really enjoying the book based on the characters and the side stories.

Because my feelings are so mixed about this book, I'm hoping for better luck as far as the plot goes when it comes to Nevada's story in Only His.
