Yes, No, Maybe So had an audiobook version that I was so excited to get to after finding out that one of the perspectives was narrated by Michael Crouch; a narrator I love. 

There's elements of diversity and own voices present in Maya being a practising muslim and Jamie being jewish. Where Jamie messes up, he takes the time to learn and understand Maya's choices only at later points to take a massive step back. With a policial back drop to the story (volunteering to canvas votes for a democratic election candidate) it feels more misplaced at time. Especially when Maya's life is being thretened by possible new laws and outside of the "tropes" of not being able to date and the story being set during Ramadam it feels that what made the protagonists individual experiences was lost a little for the wider story and budding romance.

Sadly, after a really strong start I found my attention wavering around the halfway point and even though I carried on to finish it, that attention never really returned.
