The Secret Wisdom of Nature: Trees, Animals, and the Extraordinary Balance of All Living Things --- Stories from Science and Observation by Peter Wohlleben

4.0

This is my first book by this author. I discovered it while shopping at Darville’s on Orcas Island on my 20th anniversary trip. I was recovering from COVID and wanted to read something about nature since I couldn’t hike as vigorously as I normally would have. I learned a lot about bark beetles. Also, I thought at first that I would write that the writing style is a little too conversational, but then I read the epilogue which tells of the author’s journey from a dry description to a more emotional one. I appreciate his metamorphosis.
