Alright first things first: i could care less for the romance in this book. I read it for another reason: Pablo’s struggle with finding their purpose in life hit too close to home. It was very hard to read through this. I’m glad the last quarter of the book tries to gives us some hope and good advice, but considering how I almost stopped reading, I think it was a tad bit late. I was convinced the book would end before Pablo got his shit together. Which is why I was so shocked when I was driven to tears because of some advice that Pablo received. I guess that just proves how much I relate...

The bit that made me tear up:

“You don’t get to start over every day; you get to keep going.”

Not that profound I know, but I just needed to hear it, you know? Pablo’s father also said some pretty nice. It got me thinking:

“Do you do anything for the sake of doing it? Life isn’t a destination. It’s the continual practice of things that make you wiser and happier.”

So yeah, while it was hard for me to read, in the end this book helped me in some way.
