The Distance Between Us by Kasie West

4.0

Rating: 3.7

I've read Pivot Point and Split Second. I'm familiar and fond of Katie West's work. To an extent her books are predictable, but the good kind of predictable.

If you are picking up the Distance Between Us, you are picking it up cause it's seems like a light-hearted romance. That's exactly what it is. The charm of this books is the protagonist's sarcasm. She has a dry sense of humor that might not appeal to everyone, god knows the book characters agree, but it appealed to me. She had me laughing out loud through out the whole thing.

The book and characters are not deep. It's not going to change your view of the world and have you mourning for days, but you will enjoy the company of these characters through the time it takes you to finish it. In my case: an afternoon. The chapters are short and the pace is quick. There is really not much to say about the book without spoiling it.

Recommending it to those who are looking for a light quick afternoon read or in the market for a book to get them out of their reading slump :D
