I had such great exceptions for this book.
I’ve always been avid fan of Greek mythology and I was really invested in the story of Achilles and Patroclus.
when I heard about this book I hope it would finally give justice to what I felt was a great love story between these two men, that they would finally get the space in literature they deserve.
However I was really disappointed by the writing.
The writer wasn’t able to keep me invested in the storyline and didn’t make me feel anything for the characters. I didn’t care for them and their lives.
Even the tragic ending was just meh.
Maybe my expectations were to high? I don’t know but the story had great premise and it failed to deliver.
