The Goblin Emperor by Katherine Addison

5.0

The thing I heard most often about this book before reading it is that it is a paragon of hopeful fantasy. That is undeniably true. The beginning was a bit slow, but it's worth it to push through. The Goblin Emperor is a testament to the power of kindness and forgiveness. It brought me to tears nearly half a dozen times.

Highly recommend the audio version of this. The narrator is excellent and helps to cut through some of the confusion that could potentially be caused by the wide cast of characters.
