This one just wasn't it for me. 
The original trilogy was awesome, but I think we could have gone without this one. 

Yes the worldbuilding expansion is really great and the new problems coming up with the gap in time makes it still feel fresh, but that's about as good as it gets.

None of the characters seem like themselves in this book, and I know there is a time gap but they each seemed strange to their original character profiles. Also, I never really liked Bitterblue throughout the series, she seemed even more unhinged in this book. and not in a great way.

I also just could not really follow the plot, nothing felt overly solid or planned out. There was definitely more potential in this that just wasn't met, and I was left feeling a little disappointed. 
And add to the fact that it took me almost a month to read compared to me reading the others in a couple of days each.
