Into the Storm by Melanie Moreland

2.0

I couldn't finish this one. I tried. But after a few chapters into it, I had to throw the towel in. Personally, I found the story required that I , the reader, extrapolate quite a bit between Rabbit and Joshua. The pacing is slow and a bit sluggish at times. After an hour off reading Joshua internally go on about how he doesn't get: why he's so attracted to Rabbit; why he feels such a strong urge to protect her; why he feels sooooo connected to her after just a few hours.

Most times, with this type of sub genre, I can get past all of this and still enjoy the story. In all fairness, I think I went into this book with too high expectations, having too recently read another author's book with a similar premise. Maybe if I had read MM's book first I would be giving it a much higher rating.
