Batman: The Black Mirror by Scott Snyder

5.0

When I first picked this up, I knew it was seminal Snyder work, but didn't realize that it was a run during Dick Grayson's run as the Bat.

One of the things I appreciated was the anchors to true crime. Yes there's super villains, but the main focus is actually a fairly grounded criminal.

Jock and FF are both excellent artists who actually complement each other when working on these arcs as a whole. Can't say that about every run.

I wish I had read this previously, but it's obvious why Snyder became the Batman lead.
