Leave it to Ali Hazelwood to create an age gap romance that I could not only stomach, but actually delight in. A refreshing “taboo” romance that dares to comment on how young women can be infantilized when in reality, they are fully grown, aware, and understand their sexual desires and limits. Hazelwood expertly balances the clear demonstration of the MMC being a loving and respectful suitor who appreciates the power imbalance at hand with care, but doesn’t hit the point so hard it becomes distracting or pitying.
