I wish I could rate this higher than 5 stars. The entire Malazan series so far has been an absolute masterpiece! I don't always know what's happening or what the goals of everyone as they are all so complicated, but when events and motives are finally revealed, everything makes sense. Mix that with so much drama and distress over characters and you have an amazing series.
