When I selected this book, it was on the recommendation of a friend and I hadn’t planned on just finishing a book that left a bad taste in my mouth for how the author portrayed dyslexia. This book however did not do that. I was glad that the character was upfront about the disorder. It added to his vulnerability (dyslexia isn’t easy) and his likability. Honestly, it made me like this book more. The self-image topics (body image and dyslexia both) were artfully managed in this book and I will recommend it as a result.
