Bumped up a bit for the narration.
A solid story about two long-term friends - Griff Muir and Dante Anastagaio - who realise they love each other but worry the other doesn't feel the same and would run a mile should he ever find out. Working in a fairly homophobic profession (fire fighting) doesn't help, and neither does the fact that Dante is an inveterate womaniser who plays the field with a vengeance, leaving Griff - who has a failed marriage (to a woman) behind him - convinced there's no chance for anything more than friendship between them.
Sometimes the story - told entirely thorough Griff's PoV - meanders a bit and it takes quite a while for the two to get together, but it's hot when they do, and I liked that they both realise quickly that their friendship is the same as it ever was, just with some very enjoyable added extras ;) However I didn't care for Dante's jealousy of pretty much anyone who so much as looked at Griff once they were together; it was pretty OTT and bordered on creepy.
I enjoyed Charlie David's performance overall; he differentates the characters well and applies a few different accents where called for; but his pacing is on the fast side and felt sometimes felt too rushed.
Whoever decided to put that crappy 'music' at the beginning of each chapter should be taken out back and shot.
