Although the Netflix series is good, it is quite different - the book is more like a series of vignettes, individual cases that sometimes tie together. It's much more light-hearted, and not everything is always explained, though you get the feeling there IS an explanation, if only you could see it. I enjoyed it, and will definitely be picking up the rest!
