This book is basically a workout for your feelings. I loved every second.
This is my second Mhairi McFarlane book, and she definitely has a strong voice: it's this rich, messy narration, full of obscure references and Gilmore-girls levels of wordy banter, with emotions heightened enough for a soap opera; it's also impeccably paced, ridiculously emotional and satisfying, and so easy to read in one sitting.
