I understand why people say it reminds them of a Miyazaki film. I could almost see it in front of me.
I had expected a cozy fantasy, and although it was that it also contained darker themes and a faster pace than I would normally associate with that subgenre. It was a beautiful and kind exploration of fate and duty versus choice and free will.
