This is a beautiful love story about the long, intimate but often dysfunctional friendship of Sadie and Sam, who bond over video games as children, reunite at university and start making video games. The story switches perspectives between the two characters, revealing misunderstandings between the two of them. Each of them has their own flaws that are at times irritating but I thought believable. I liked the various video game plot ideas and descriptions sprinkled in throughout.
