Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck
5.0
5/5 BCS IT MADE ME CRY!
and I’m feeling totally heartbroken. This book is so short—under 100 pages—but it packs an emotional punch.
At first, you get this heartwarming bond between George and Lennie, two friends dreaming of a better life. But then it all unravels in the most tragic way.
The English can be a bit tricky because of the older slang, but it’s part of how Steinbeck captures the rural life and struggles of the workers during that time (1930s)
