This was my first Maren Moore read and I was very impressed with how much I enjoyed it. The banter and tension between Saint and Lennon had me sweating and giggling all at the same time! I also really enjoyed how emotional this book was and how much depth was put into both of these characters. It made them feel real and gave their stories that little extra push.
With this being said, I felt like Saint’s reasoning for getting into this fake relationship was overdone. For the first half of the book, anytime we were in Saint’s POV, he basically retold and emphasized his intentions and at some point I was annoyed because I’ve heard this spiel 12 other times and I don’t need the refresher anymore!! However, once the turning point hit, I was no longer annoyed and fell harder into the book and was so happy to see healthy communication and understanding.
Overall, I really enjoyed this read and would recommend to anyone who likes sports romance, bad boy x good girl, fake dating reads!!
