The premise of “Book People” is very cute but in actually it’s just…fine.
There’s nothing wrong with the story, characters, or style. It just didn’t wow me. Even for a romance novel, it seemed very predictable and a little flat.
I want to get the Emily Henry hype, I really do! “Book Lovers” was the second book of hers that I tried and I’m starting to think we just aren’t a good fit.
