We Are the Ashes, We Are the Fire by Joy McCullough

5.0

The juxtaposition between Marguerite's tale and Em's, the poetry and prose, made this feel like a story that would both, never end, and never be told fast enough. Even though justice may not have been served, by the end of the story, there is a sense of relief at least, a feeling of having learned "to use a fucking sword"
