Kristin Hannah is the queen of historical fiction imo. This story was sweeping and grand. Hard to read, dark, sad, challenging. But also full of hope and found family, friendships, growth, and love. Frankie and her friends were so lovable and I love how they never shied away from her no matter what she was going through. I loved learning about a part of history I wasn’t really familiar with. And Jamie! Omg I just loved him. He was such a good guy. The ending made me so happy!
