Minimalism: Live a Meaningful Life by Ryan Nicodemus, Joshua Fields Millburn

1.0

This book was featured on Blinkist. And based on my previous (pleasant) encounter with Blinkist, I was hoping to be enlightened once again. Unfortunately, no such luck. Listening to the summary of this book rubs me the wrong way. This so-called “minimalist-way-of-living-a-meaningful-life” is nothing more than two “successful” airheads stating the obvious and telling you how to live YOUR life. Who doesn’t know debt is bad? Who doesn’t want to pay off their mortgage/student loan/whatever debt they have got on their shoulders and live happily ever after? But reality is a bitch. And more often than not, people DO need to do what they don’t like to make a living. It sucks, I know. But not everyone is fortunate enough to have what they wish for- dream jobs, houses, have it all.
