All the Rage by Courtney Summers

5.0

Courtney did not hold back—nor did she disappoint! This book is so raw at times it really breaks your heart, but it’s such a real and important story, even when it’s hard to read. The way Courtney shifted the point of view and time really emphasized just how traumatic this experience was for Romy and how the simplest things could send her spiraling back to that awful moment.

As a reader who’s often drawn to interesting character relationships, I also couldn’t help but notice what a compelling mother-daughter story was happening here. Their relationship evolves quietly and organically in the background as they’re both desperately trying to protect each other from hurt without really knowing how to talk to each other.
