Tempest Cursed: A Wuthering Heights Retelling by K.C. Lannon

4.0

"Something inside her fractured, and she was not a strong little girl anymore but a broken bird with hollow bones."

This Wuthering Heights inspired story was fun and, at times, touching and beautiful. If you aren't a fan of the original story, I still think this would be worth a try. Though littered with dark themes, this is not such a bleak story as Emily Bronte's tale.

I love the ocean and the entire idea behind the Deep Dwellers fascinated me. I loved all of the portions where Pearl and Hake were swimming or lying on the sand or listening to the ocean rage.

The end was rather abrupt, but satisfying overall.
