Falling Hard by Jae

4.0

Another hit by Jae!

I really enjoyed reading this one. Took me only two nights to read the whole thing.

Basically, this is pretty much a feel good romance story. Jordan is the surgeon/player who lives in a duplex, and Emma is the single mom to a 5-6 years old daughter, who moved in next door. I'll admit that this type of story is nothing new. However, Jae is so good at writing characters and making it easy for readers to connect with the characters. The romance aspect is slow burning and I enjoyed anticipating the progress of their relationship. Molly, Emma's daughter, is such a cuteball! I like how Molly is being used as obstacle and catalyst that help them get together at the same time. Only thing I think Jae could've improved on is conflict. Yes, there are some minor conflicts with Chloe, Emma's ex, and Jordan's "dates" but they all easily got resolved.

Overall, it is a solid romance, and light read. If you are a fan of Jae, then you will know what to expect out of this one. If you haven't read any of her stories, then this is a good book to start with.
