Always Never Yours by Emily Wibberley, Austin Siegemund-Broka

5.0

Have I mentioned how much I love Romeo and Juliet? I love Romeo and Juliet. And I actually love Rosaline as a character more than their romance, so I was so excited to read this.

It did not disappoint. This book was absolutely adorable. The characters were real and fleshed out, and I loved the balance between family and school life. I loved how the character arcs were completed, and the subversion of the "slut" trope. I loved how messy and real this book was (although why does no one in books ever discuss their safety schools? like...) Ultimately, it was an enjoyable read. The only things that took away was how Cosima was used as a plot device (she didn't need to be there at all, really), a total missed opportunity with Shakespeare in Love foreshadowing, and the cheating. Solid 4.5/5; will definitely reread.
