Orlando by Virginia Woolf
2.0
reflective medium-paced

I just don't think Virginia Woolf is for me. You can clearly see the unique, experimental style for the 1900s, but I personally find the modernist style jarring. On a sentence level her writing can be beautiful and touching, which did compel me to continue reading.
I wasn't aware of the premise going in, I enjoyed the plot overall, but during large passages I was reguarly zoning out. I liked that it was a fictonalised biographer narrating, the parts when the narrator directly addresses the reader were occasionally quite funny.
I will probably read more Virginia Woolf in the future but will be more selective when picking up her works.
