This is my favorite book of the series so far. Jonah and Shelby are fire together, and the book beautifully captures their relationship as they knock down walls of their lives and pasts.
The trauma Shelby goes through in this book is almost a bit over the top, but it works due to the way it's written into the rest of the Bootleg Springs storyline.
We get a lot of the CK suspense throughout, and I can't wait to see the ending, even though I have a theory about that. But I'm looking forward to Gibson's story the most. His character has gone through a big arc throughout these books, and it only makes sense that the final book would be his.
I gave it a 5 star because it's one of those books that gave me all the feels. I smiled, laughed, got mad, felt the suspense, and had my eyes tear up a few times.
