There was something about the writing style I didn't like about this one because it made me focus on the writing itself and took me out of the story on multiple occasions. That said, the story itself was pretty good, I really enjoyed Alex's personal arc, and I loved that we had a fat woman as the main character and her rolls and stomach were acknowledged and appreciated (and the cove illustration matched her description). Probably won't seek out more by this author but wouldn't be opposed to trying another if I came across it and it appealed to me.
