The Flatshare by Beth O'Leary

5.0

It's a clear 5 star read for me. I have been hearing wonderful things about this book and I'm not disappointed. As much as people would like to think of it as fluff from its title, it's definitely not!

Trigger Warning: Emotional Abuse
Tiffy has just got out of an emotionally draining relationship with Justin and is also forced to look for another place to stay. Turmoil is hitting her like never before, but she has the strong support of her wonderful friends and she moves into a bed-sharing arrangement with a stranger, Leon. The catch is they never really meet. As working on two different shifts. What happens when they do?

This book could be a little disturbing if you have been ever been gaslight or mentally abused by your ex-partner and take you down a horrid memory lane. It also is a wonderful testament of how romance and falling in love need to be a li'l old-school sometime. Slow and oh-so-irresistible. With post-it notes and not really meeting the person, it definitely looks platonic and lovely. I teared up in a very cuddly way as the book does wonders to you on a rainy day. Go for it if you want to feel an amazing warmth as you read a book. :)
