This book reminded me of 'Girl, Woman, Other' in the sense that it showed the lives of these women separately from each other and the way they intertwined. And that they're black, if course. That comparison is made quite easily.

And I enjoyed both of them, a lot. I'm not sure why I'm giving four stars, not five - I kept thinking about this book whenever I had to pause reading for a bit. But I did get bored sometimes, too. Or maybe annoyed - Stella and Kennedy are pretty hard to deal with sometimes.
