Hairpin Bridge by Taylor Adams

A big bowl of OK, as I had expected. The completist in me just wanted to be sure to read all his stuff.

Chick suspicious of her twin sister’s suicide interrogates a cop who had arrested the sister hours before her death. Aside from flashbacks of the dead sister it’s mostly the chick and the cop going back and forth. Suspicions, denials, lies, etc. etc.

Problem was, I just didn’t care about either of these sisters. So the back-and-forth was interminable. Sometimes boring. Often repetitive. Just get to the point. The man can write a hell of a chase/action scene though, so at least there were a few of those.

I keep changing from a 3 to a 2. A 2 seems harsh but, honestly, I can’t recommend it. Just go read The Last Word instead.
