The Comfort Book
by Matt Haig
Meh. This nonfiction book reads like random journal entries consisting of the author’s positive affirmations and is often repetitive.
I have liked Matt Haig’s fiction (The Midnight Library and The Humans read and due to get How to Stop Time from the library any day) but this just wasn’t for me. I’m all for journaling and positive affirmations and I’m sure this book will resonate with many readers but for me personally, I will get more out of putting my own thoughts on paper when I feel sad or anxious. Generous 3 stars for me.
