I've picked up a few different books in the last month, searching for a good adventure with an interesting female protagonist, but I was disappointed every time. They always devolved into semi-erotica with a flat story arch and boring main characters. But this one... Born in Fire was a breath of fresh air. Reagan was sassy, fun, tough, and independent. I love her attitude and her sense of humor. I enjoyed the way the world was constructed and the mystery aspect of the plot. It was a great book, and I'm going to pick up the next one right now.
