At Her Service
by Anna Stone
i received an e-arc from the author. all opinions are my own.
at her service has a fun and promising setup: a hollywood ice queen falls for her younger, live-in nanny. i was excited for the age-gap and power dynamic drama, but the story didn’t quite live up to its potential. there’s plenty of steam, but the characters and their relationship felt underdeveloped. the emotional beats didn’t hit as hard as they could have, and the conflict with the ex-wife leaned more dramatic than engaging. it’s a spicy read, but i was hoping for a bit more depth.
