This is everything a romcom ought to be. It just is the most perfect romance novel I’ve read in a long time. It’s a slow burn with great character development, banter and cheesy but funny moments. It just is a masterpiece and I wish I could read it again for the first time. It made me think so much of « The Holiday » and I wish it would be turned into a movie. I think I’ll still think of this book for a while, and not just because the female mc’s name is Emma and because she’s got the same hair as me. The story was believable, the third act conflict actually realistic. Everything made sense. It was just utter perfection. Also reminded me of « Better than the movies » in the way it reused every single romcom moments imaginable. Absolutely loved it!
