My favourite cake is probably carrot cake (as I have discovered cheesecake isn't actually cake), and if this book was a cake it would be the best carrot cake with a lot of frosting (despite being full of battenberg). What I'm trying to say is I loved it.
I laughed, a lot. I also sobbed. This book is probably the best in the series (so far). It has the characters we know and love, plus some new ones. It has the humour, but also the deep topics, expressed so beautifully. The mystery is a real head scratcher, and gave me things to mull over right to the end. Most of all, it has love, in lots of forms.
