Ok I REALLY want to love this author, but I think i might be done 🫠 I’ve tried so many of her books + have enjoyed a couple but the majority are SO heavy on s*xual assault + this is the third in a row I’ve read of hers that has been overly graphic on this topic. I’m all for a dark plot but I’ve had enough of the rich-white-male character trope + the lurid detail in which they discuss this subject. It feels to me as though it’s used purely for shock factor + just seems to be the entire plot.
