Talking with Psychopaths and Savages: A Journey into the Evil Mind by Christopher Berry-Dee

1.0

I despised the way that the book was written. I am really disappointed as I had such high expectations of this book.
It is supposed to be a 'factual' depiction of how the interactions between the author and a select number of criminals has helped him to understand the mind of a psychopath.

My issue in this book is that the author is so self-centred that he wastes half of his word count bragging about his accomplishments and all his contacts in the police. He left very little words to write the actual book. On top of this, he uses the same phrases repeatedly throughout the book which gets tiresome.

I feel like I should give his other books a read as I know that some of them are very highly regarded and they will aid in my forensic psychology course but as I had to force myself to finish this book, it will probably be a little while before I do.
