My Twentieth Century Evening and Other Small Breakthroughs: The Nobel Lecture by Kazuo Ishiguro

informative inspiring reflective fast-paced

4.0

An excellent little speech from one of our greatest living writers.  He describes little moments of wisdom (“small breakthroughs”) that helped shape how he thought about writing throughout his career.

Unlike other transcripts of speeches I’ve read, this one is immensely readable. Would highly recommend for fans of Ishiguro or the writing process.

I’m hoping he writes a memoir. I’d devour it.
