This might have been a five star read had it not been for the ridiculous, lazy, uninspired ending.

I love psychological thrillers and this had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I loved the small hometown by the sea setting, I loved the complicated female friendship, I loved the slow reveal throughout the alternating POVs, I loved the creepy atmosphere. But I just have to say the end basically ruined it for me.
