I enjoyed this small little mystery! There was a good mix of very human theatre drama, funny little red herrings as characters dabble in crime, and is so very British. I liked the epistolary format too, and the framing device; it all felt quite creative as a format for this story. 

I appreciated the twists and turns of the ending as well, that we don’t actually know who is at fault between the alcohol and the suffocation.

Maybe I just haven’t read a mystery in a while but I enjoyed.
