Mary: An Awakening of Terror by Nat Cassidy

Did not finish book. Stopped at 60%.
So tired of men writing about women’s experiences. Men can write women, I have no isssue with that. But if your entire book is about the female experience it’s weird. It’s also weird when that’s what your OTHER book is about too. And his reasoning is basically “a few women told me I could and I did it good so I should”. Not to mention, another piece of media framing someone w mental illness as a murderer. Mad I wasted my audible credit on this and mad I wasted my time.  The narrator was wonderful though. The writing wasn’t bad either, just not the person who should be telling this story. Even though I can tell he tried to do it justice, there’s just inherent misogyny in a story like this that cannot be avoided, since a cis man cannot fully grasp what being perceived as woman in society is like.
